Escorts believes in progress on every front. In line with this philosophy, the company has interwoven social consciousness and business responsibility. During the last year, our Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives were focused on the following fronts:
As part of our community development initiatives, Escorts has tied up with well-known hospitals and medical organizations to increase health awareness. Our health camps covered more than 2,500 beneficiaries and provided primary healthcare services free of cost. The company also organized a series of blood donation camps, under which we donated more than 700 units of blood and helped save several lives.
Keeping employee health in mind, Escorts organized health awareness talks, wherein reputed doctors were invited to discuss about specialized health issues. These talks benefited more than 200 employees.
With the aim of changing the perception of women in our society, Escorts initiated a ‘community outreach’ programme called Pahchaan. A special initiative for the women family members of Escorts’ employees, the programme provides them a platform for their overall development through the following activities:
Our company is committed to the socio-economic progress of the country. Through our initiatives, we have reached out to the rural areas that we operate in, as well as to the old and needy in the society.
Unnati, a collaborative effort between Escorts & Navjyoti India Foundation, worked towards training and development of the underprivileged employed at our dealerships. Nine students have already been enrolled with industrial training and successfully deployed in Haryana and Uttar Pradesh under this programme.
The Go Green Faridabad campaign initiated by Escorts Group, in collaboration with the Faridabad Industries Association, will help create an environmentally-conscious Faridabad. The campaign aims to bring together industrialists to commit towards greener practices in their manufacturing operations.
Employees are the centre point of all activities at Escorts. Through various engagement programmes, we reached out to their families and established a personal connect with them. Under the Connect Well initiative, our CSR team visited homes of several employees and spend quality time with their families. This helped us understand their day-to-day concerns and thereby take necessary steps for their betterment.
More than 100 wards of our employees were given professional guidance for courses and colleges during Career Counselling sessions organised for students of classes 10 and 12. Lastly, several wards were given an opportunity to display their talents at singing, dancing, etc. through a series of contests that culminated in a grand internal event.
